one cook can spoil the broth

if that cook is me.

i forgot that i had put eggs to boil. and that resulted in a dish I call the burnt boiled egg. tastes crispy. you should try it sometime. and the utensil looks quite cool too...

but first - a couple of days b4 I had made another dish.. anyone hazard a guess as to what it is? it ain't mashed potatoes.. :)

Today we celebrate our Independence Day

August 15th was the last day of work at our Khar office (yes, the media industry always works even on national holidays) - we were moving to a new location (and still are in between locations) and new identity - Plan B Productions (Via Earth Reloaded would have been way cooler)..

And I felt like taking pictures of our place of work.. cos' it was cool.. Didn't have enough memory space (only 16MB) otherwise would have taken photos of the girls loo too.. damn cool it was.. if someone's desperate to see what it looks like I can still go back and take a picture.. :D

I did an overnight cos' I had to back up some data in addition to last minute episode changes.. 16th evening while waiting for the rain to subside I watched Silent Hill along with a colleague (her verdict - she wanted two hours of her life back). I'm never watching a movie with Rhea again - not because she didn't like this one - but because every 5 minutes she was like "What happens next?" "Does he die?" "What? Why? How?" AAARGH.. shouldn't have told her I'd already watched the movie :)

Anyway, old office.. I'll miss ya..

And then we watched Silent Hill

We got together at a friend's place to watch Silent Hill.. if you're a fan of the game you'll love the movie.. It captures the atmosphere of the game perfectly and the attention to detail to the sets is amazing.. Check it out if you're a horror fan..

My friend's demo room is amazing for watching movies.. Projector system / 5.1 surround.. awesome... We're planning to watch Prison Break Season 2 - the opening here too.. Have had the episode for two weeks now.. Talk about self-control..

The Perfect Stuffed Omelette

Well OK not the perfect - but the best and only stuffed cheese and onion omelette I've made in my lifetime. Not bad for a man of 28. I'll probably never be able to repeat this feat again - hence the photo session. An eggciting day indeed.

In a time of Myth and Legend

Yes, I almost have all the Hercules box sets now. Except season 4. Anybody want to get me Season 4? :) Thanks to Ritesh for allowing me to ship it to him & Reema for carrying four monstrous box sets for me. 1080 minutes of running time per box set. When am I going to watch all this??! Worthy enough reason to break my blogging silence.

Then and the art of a really quick walkthrough

The sun was shining. Birds were flying. Smell of cut grass. Decided to go to post office. And take some photos on the way.

Then on the way to the PO randomly decided to check out the train station next to the picnic area. It was deserted and I got scared to step onto the platform because there was a sign which said "200 pound fine for trespassing."

Then I carried onto the post office, did my dirty deeds and came back via the public bridleway.

And then there were these cows just standing there waiting for their photo to be taken. While I was taking their photos like this train drove in on the railway tracks which have always been deserted. I got all excited and followed the tracks to the station. Took only two photos of the train cos' I was out of camera space but not before being given a warning about a 200 pound fine for walking on the tracks. I was like sorry.

Then the train was leaving and this little school girl of maybe eight years looked out and screamed "You're a trainspotter, aren't you? I hate trainspotters!" I'd seen the movie Trainspotting and had no idea what she meant. But I came back and totally googled the term. It's like these people who love trains and engines. Like in that Station Agent movie. That little girl thought I'm a trainspotter! Rad.
